Biodiversity Project Certification & Monitoring Framework

By leveraging blockchain technology, we ensure transparency, accountability, and real-world results in the fight to protect nature. Our mission is to protect, restore, and sustain biodiversity through community-led conservation, education, and action.  We aim to build a world where nature thrives alongside humanity.

The following outlines the certification, monitoring, and accountability framework that governs all conservation projects funded through our Biodiversity Credit system. Designed to provide maximum transparency and impact assurance, this structure ensures that your investment directly supports verified and scientifically monitored environmental outcomes.

Investment Assurance Model

Each project is subject to a rigorous pre-financing approval process and ongoing post-financing obligations. These protocols are designed to mitigate risk, promote ecological success, and deliver measurable conservation impact.

Pre-Financing Project Screening

Before funds are allocated, all candidate projects must provide:

Legal proof of land ownership or long-term stewardship.

Verified boundary mapping using GIS (Google Maps or equivalent).

A detailed conservation proposal including targeted outcomes, biodiversity threats, and restoration strategy.

An ecological baseline assessment to benchmark future progress.

Commitment to EarthRanger software for real-time field data reporting.

A community engagement plan ensuring local participation and benefit.

Post-Financing Oversight and Transparency

Following financing, projects are obligated to deliver ongoing proof of performance, including:

Live access to EarthRanger, showing ranger patrols, wildlife activity, and alerts.

Annual high-definition drone-based mapping of the conservation area.

Thermal imaging maps for monitoring land use and vegetation health.

Live webcam streams from the project site to monitor progress and wildlife in real-time.

Detailed financial reports accounting for fund usage aligned with the conservation plan.

Annual biodiversity impact reports summarizing measurable changes, challenges, and actions taken.

Biodiversity Monitoring Protocol

A core component of investment integrity is our Biodiversity Monitoring Protocol. This ensures consistent, scientific tracking of conservation progress over time, including:

Scheduled biodiversity surveys using standardized scientific methods (e.g., camera traps, transects, acoustic sensors).

Tracking of biodiversity indices such as species richness, abundance, and presence of key species.

Community or citizen science involvement where appropriate to enhance data and local engagement.

Real-time data integration with EarthRanger for central monitoring and transparency.

Annual reporting to compare biodiversity progress against baseline benchmarks.

This rigorous framework ensures that your investment not only contributes to global biodiversity goals, but is also continuously monitored, transparently reported, and grounded in scientific best practices.
